Long weekend in SH
We took off from work on Thurs, Fri, and today. We packed up and headed down the to Stone Harbor on Wed night. We couldn't wait to get there because it was our 1st and only Vaca this summer. Wed night we stayed in and watched the Phillies game with Mom and Dad and went to bed super early. Thurs we ran some earrands and chilled at the house all day. Johnny and I went for a ride on the waverunner....it was awesome! He took us out to the Wildwood beach area and we jumped waves. I was screaming and laughing so much that he was probably thinking "gee, why did I bring my sister out here?" HaHa! Thurs night we went out to dinner for a date night at Blackfish. The food was good but the dessert was great! Fri we spent the day on the boat with Johnny and went to the Lobster House for some food and drinks. We had a ball until we realized a storm was coming so we had to get back to the house. We BBQ for dinner and went out to the Windrift late night. Sat Jeanna came down after work and the 4 of us hung out until Johnny had to go to work. Jeanna and I walked up to town to shop a bit. Sun Brian and I woke up and went shopping in town for something to wear to the Jimmy Buffet concert. The limo (thanks Mom & Dad!) picked us 4 up at 2:30 and we headed up to AC. We met up with Tim and went to the Beach Bar for a couple hours. We left there and met up with BJ, Heather, Kyle and Joanna at the Pier. A couple hours later we all went to the concert and had a blast! The limo picked us up and all 4 of us fell asleep right away! Today we all slept in and watched the Phillies afternoon game. We had a very nice long, relaxing weekend. Now it's back to work tmr....ugh!

House is up for sale!
It's up! We met with the realtor on Thurs night to sign the papers, the for sale sign went up on the lawn yesterday, it's on the internet today, and we already have our 1st showing tmr! Crossing our fingers that it'll move as quickly as our neighbor's house did....they sold in just under 30 days. We may be in our 1st home together sooner than we thought.... :)

Anniversary gift
Tomorrow, Aug 10th, marks a year that Brian proposed to me. Even though it's tmr, we thought about it all day today since it was a Sunday, like today. It even rained today, like it did last year. I would look at the clock at different points in the day and say "at this time last year I was food shopping," or "at this time last year we were walking Jadie," or "at this time last year you were on your knee." etc... This morning Brian told me he had to run out to run an errand before we went to Charlotte's party. When he got home he handed me a card and a gift. The card was very sweet, with some very nice things that he wrote. In our minds August is a big month for us...we met and got engaged in August...so we do consider it our anniversary. (of course we also have our wedding anniversary in April.) I opened the gift and was shocked to find diamond earrings! They are princess cut, just like my engagement and wedding rings. I love them and put them on right away. He didn't want to wait until tmr to give them to me....much like he couldn't wait when he proposed last year. His original plan was to propose on our 1 year anniversary (Aug 16th) and then thought maybe he'd do it on Aug 11th....11 is a huge number in our family. But the ring was burning a hole in his pocket so he did it on Aug 10th, our 1st day of vacation last summer, and this year he gave me an anniversary gift a day before that. Too cute.....gotta love him!
Happy 1st birthday Charlotte!
I can't believe our little Charlie-bear is 1 year old! Her official bday was on Aug 3rd and today was her party. We all had a great time hangin' with the fam. Charlotte had a great time and she loved her cupcake! Thank goodness for the allergy friendly baker Corinne found. Liv had a blast running around with her cousins and playing dress-up with them. Every time they came downstairs they had different clothes on. The rest of us chilled and watched the Phillies game.
Work on the house
This weekend we stayed home from the shore in order to work on our house. We have decided to put it up for sale. Before we put it up for sale we want to prepare it in order to get it ready to "stage" for potential buyers. We had fun going to Home Depot and working on the house together. It was exciting because it's getting us in the mode of home repairs/upgrades. We have been checking out some houses online and have also walked through some. We can't wait to find our 1st house and make it a home!

Ahh...a brake from Jadie...

Autumn and Harvey had a ball without Jadie here this weekend. They were super lovey-dovey with Brian and I. They were stretched out on the bed and couches all day long. Autumn reverted back to her "I think I'm a dog" personality by following us around everywhere we went. They both requested lots of cuddle time and I happily curled up on the couch with them.
Dad brought Jadie back this morning...cats are hiding again...

Jadie in SH without us!
This weekend we had to go to Connecticut, sadly it was for our friend's father's funeral. Being that it was a last minute thing we couldn't get Jadie a spot at the kennel. We didn't know what to do since we knew the drive would be at least 3 1/2 hrs without traffic. So, Mom & Dad offered to take her to Stone Harbor for the weekend. Dad was up here on Fri and picked her up and will bring her back up tmr morning. Jadie was so excited when she saw him on Fri and jumped into his car without even looking back at us. We have missed her so much this weekend! I keep looking for her and realizing she isn't here....she's usually glued to us. I just checked out Corinne's blog and she posted a video from this weekend and Jadie is in the background. I was like "aw, there's my baby." Well, I'll see her soon enough.
Good thing they did take her because we had traffic both ways! It took us 6 1/2 hours to get there and about 4 1/2 hours to get back.
Thanks to Mom & Dad for taking care of her this weekend!!! Love ya!
