At 12 weeks I had genetic testing done, which is something all high-risk pregnancies need to go through. I had the same testing with the boys however, they have since perfected the test and they can tell the sex of the baby from the bloodwork. I received the call from the nurse the next week. Everything was negative, thank goodness! She told me she had the sex but wasn't able to tell me, that she'd have to fax the results to my Dr. office. I was ok with it and being patient but Brian and my Dad on the other hand were soo impatient. They were cracking me up with all the text messages about how I needed to go to the Dr. office and demand the results. The nurse did finally call about an hour later and said she received the fax. I asked her to write it down and I'd be right there to pick it up. I was good! I didn't open it, although I was tempted. I picked up the boys and drove home to Brian. I was too nervous to open it so I told him to. We counted to 3 and he ripped it open. As soon as I saw it I gasped and screamed at the same time. Brian had the cutest little boy smile on his face. We hugged and were super excited the rest of the night. We can't believe we are having a little girl! We knew we were done after 3 kids, no matter what the sex was, but now we feel complete. It's an amazing feeling! We can't wait for her to get here and meet her big brothers.
