Dinner with the Miller's
Last night we went to the Miller's. Tommy and Jack are adorable little boys. Tommy showed us his skills on the Wii while Jack smiled away. The boys went to bed and we had a super fun dinner.....we cooked our steak and shrimp on hot stones. It was really cool! The wine and beer were flowing as we chatted it up for hours. It's always great to spend time with friends.

More snow..?? Seriously?
Arg! When is Spring getting here? We are due to get another "significant" snow storm tonight thru Friday afternoon. I sure hope they are wrong. I agree that snow is pretty but enough is enough.

Valentine's Weekend
This weekend we stayed home and relaxed. Friday was a bad day for us so Brian said we needed to go out to dinner. We went to Bone Fish Grill and had a great dinner! Saturday we lounged around the house all day. We watched TV and surfed the net. I was in my PJ's til around 2pm. Around 5 we decided to go to Lowe's because we were watching home improvement shows all day. We walked around and got a few ideas for the house. After we went to PJ's in Medford for some dinner and drinks. When we got home Ceil called and said to come over for some drinks. Today is Valentine's Day and I got these beautiful flowers from my hubby. My sister, Ryan, and the girls were going to my parents to hang out a bit so Brian and I decided to go over there too. We ordered hoagies and just hung out. Jadie had a ball running around in the snow with Gracie. It felt good to be with the family today. I think Brian and I both needed it. It was a nice weekend with my Valentine.

Snow day
I guess I spoke too soon on Sunday when I said that the snow this year has come only on weekends. We got at least 18 inches so far today and it's still snowing at 7:30pm. They are saying we are supposed to get at least 24 inches today. This is all on top of the 26 inches we got over the weekend. They are also saying that another storm is coming on Monday. Wow! This is crazy. Brian went outside 3 times today to shovel. I made us good 'ole fashioned tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch. Also I made a pot of sauce & meatballs and muffins today. Yum! Oh, and we re-arranged the family room a bit since it's been set up the same way since the day I moved in here. We didn't change a whole lot but it looks different and I'm excited about it. Our dining room table was turned into a shared office today, as we did have to work, but we turned the computers off at 5pm sharp! Right now we are chillin' on the couch and surfing the net on our own laptops but later on we are gonna snuggle while we watch last night's episode of LOST. Can't wait! Today was fun but if we didn't have to work it would've been the old fashioned snow day that I was hoping for earlier this week.

Time flys
One year ago today (well it was 2/8 but it was Sunday), was my Bridal Shower. I can't believe it's been a year! It's also amazing to me how last year the weather was so nice that I wore a short sleeved sweater, with no jacket, to my shower. However, this year we are buried under 2 feet of snow! Crazy! Wow...in 2 months it'll be our 1st wedding anniversary...wow how time flys.
What is it about the Superbowl?
What is it about the Superbowl that make you want to eat pizza, wings, chips & dip, and anything else that is so bad for you...yet so good? I woke up this morning and totally forgot about the Superbowl until I heard it on the news. (Guess since I don't care too much about the Colts nor the Saints I forgot about it.) However, as soon as I heard Superbowl my stomach "woke up." I immediately asked Brian if he could finish digging out the cars and take a ride with me to the Supermarket. I wanted to get junk food!! Yes, I know that we are doing the "weight loss challenge" with the fam but we have been doing so well that I knew we deserved a treat. :) Brian happily drove me to the store and we bought quite a few items. Our coffee table was filled with all kinds of yummy foods...you would've thought we were having a party. LOL! Oh well, Superbowl only comes once a year, right?
More snow! Over 24 inches this time!
We have had such a snowy winter! I can't remember the last time it's snowed this much. We've had a bunch of light snow storms and had a doozie in Dec and again this weekend. In Dec we had 24 inches but this weekend they said we had more than that. It's strange because the snow keeps coming on weekends. Sometimes I wish it'd be during the week so we can have an "old fashioned" snow day. Once again Jadie had an absolute ball in the snow. She would leap in and over snow drifts. All the kids in the neighborhood had fun playing with her too.
