Doing good

Today we had a Dr. appt with the high risk doctors. It was a long appt....2 1/2 hours! It was difficult for me because I was uncomfortable laying on my back for that long period. I had to take many breaks and move my position quite a few times. But I got through it. They measured the boys bones, brains, kidneys, bladders, hearts, etc.. It was amazing to see all that on the screen. Evan was out of character today because he was a lot more active than normal. Gavin was is normal squirmy self. They are measuring 12 oz and 14 oz. Looks like we have big boys already. Guess that means I have a lot more uncomfortable times ahead. But it'll all be worth it. Brian wasn't able to attend the appt due to a work appt so Mom came with me. It's always exciting for me when she's there because all she does is giggle, tear up, smile, and put her hands on me....because after all I am her baby. :) Half way through the appt there was a knock at the door and Brian popped in. I was so excited to see him! He was able to move some things around at work so that he could be there. He said he had to see his boys. Too cute! We met with the Dr. after the ultra-sound and he told us that as of now he has no concerns for any birth defects, nor down syndrome, nor TTTS. Whew! Our boys are doing really well.

Starting to prepare

This past weekend we started the preparations for the boys nursery. We moved the guest room furniture into my office and got rid of my office. Looks like my "office" will now be the kitchen table, or I'll use Brian's desk when he isn't home. Their nursery right now is an empty room...with a vision. We went to Lowe's and bought paint, closet organizers, and supplies to begin the project. Brian is super excited to work on the room as he loves home projects and is even more excited because it's for our boys. I can't wait to watch the progress!

Happy 3rd birthday Jadie!

Friday was Jadie's 3rd birthday! We can't believe it. This weekend we treated her to a few walks, numerous treats, and a hamburger. (for those that don't know, we don't feed her people food....unless it's a special occasion.) She was in heaven all weekend. She loved all the extra attention...and real food! She is our little girl (and will remain that way since we are having boys) and we love her so very much!

Isabella's 6th birthday

Yesterday afternoon was Bella's bowling party to celebrate her 6th birthday. I can't believe she is 6 years old already! She had a ball at her party and I loved watching her interact with all her friends. Her "boyfriend" from school was there too....Anthony & Brian were checking him out and even questioned him a little bit....it was too funny.

Hangin w/the Millers

Friday was a beautiful spring-like day. We went over to the Miller's to hang out in their back yard with the boys. We had fun playing with the kids on the swing set and then we ordered in a yummy dinner. We stayed on the deck the whole night, enjoying the weather and each other's company.

Shamrock Shake

Ok, so I am celebrating St. Patty's Day. Ceil ran to McDonald's to pick up shamrock shakes for us. Yum!!!! :)

Evan & Gavin

Yup....we have agreed on their names. We are tired of calling them A & B so we decided that their names are Evan & Gavin, unless something else strikes us. However we are pretty certain that these names will stick. They just sound great together and sound even better with our last name. We are excited to call them by name now and do it numerous times a day so that they can get used to hearing it.
So, we had an appt today at the high risk specialist. We invited Mom & Dad (MeMe & G Pop) to come along to see their grandsons on the screen. It was great! The 4 of us giggled as we watched them on the screen. The Tech did a fantastic job in explaining everything to us and showed us what she was looking for. She was measuring their bladders and the amniotic fluid around them....which were perfect. We got to hear their heartbeats also. As usual, Gavin (B) was our little camera-hog and stretched out his legs, as if to be lounging out. In doing this he was pushing Evan with his feet. We were laughing! The Dr. met with us after and told us that everything looks great so far. Of course they want to see me every 2 weeks but I'm fine with that....it gives us more chances to see the little one's. It was such an amazing experience to have Mom & Dad with us. They were all smiles as they stared at their Grandson's. It was a special time that Brian and I will always remember. After the appt we went out to dinner to celebrate. Mom & Brian also celebrated that it was St. Patty's Day with a cocktail while Dad and I had soda and water. That's ok...next St. Patty's Day I'll be able to have a drink....or two...or more....ha!!

Dr. appt

I had a Dr. appt today and got a quick look at the boys on the ultra-sound. Baby A was laying there all peaceful, as usual. Baby B was moving around a lot and sucking his thumb. It seems that B is always more active than A. Uh oh....seems like he's gonna keep us on our toes. Ha! Can't wait to see them on the fancier ultra-sound machine on Thursday.

Family fun at the shore

This weekend we went to the shore with the family. It was a chill weekend filled with coffee talk visits, ordered in food, dinner out, pedicures for the ladies, relaxing at the house, sitting outside in the sun, and just plain ole family fun. Liv and Char were amazed with my growing belly. They kept touching it and looking at it with confused looks on their faces. Char kept saying "baby out?" It was precious. We had a blast and can't wait until our next get together in April.

It's BOYS!

Thursday we had an appt and found out we are having BOYS!!! We are thrilled! I had thought we would cry when we found out but we were just so excited that we couldn't stop smiling. We watched in amazement as the Tech was measuring their bones, the chambers of their hearts, their brains, etc. It looked like one of them was trying to such his thumb. As usual Baby B is our little devil. He wasn't really co-operating with the Tech and then he was sitting on his brother's head! (you can see that in the 1st picture above) After the ultra-sound we sat in the next room waiting to talk with the Dr. As we waited we started to talk about "our boys" and then we both started to cry. It's just so much more real to us that we know what they are. We've been day-dreaming about our son's since the moment we found out. We are now starting to think about the nursery and are excited about picking everything out. We can't wait to meet them in about 4 months.

Ryleigh's birthday party

Last night we went to Ryleigh's bowling party to celebrate her 5th birthday. Mom and Brian suggested that I shouldn't bowl because it may put some stress on the babies but I had fun watching. Ceil didn't bowl either. She and I hung in the back eating pizza and cookies while we chatted about baby stuff. All the little kids were having a blast and it was so much fun watching them. Brian and the guys turned bowling into a card game also, so that was interesting. After the party we headed home and hung out next door for a few more hours. All the guys played pool, the kids ran around the house playing some game that was boys vs girls, and all the ladies sat around chatting as we do best.

Hangin w/the Millers

Friday night we went over to the Miller's. We ordered in pizza and had some yummy apps & dessert. Tommy & Jack are adorable little boys and they had fun showing us their toys and Wii games. We talked about babies/kids most of the night and got lots of great advice. We love spending time with them because we always have fun.
