Morning walk to the beach

Trip to the zoo

During vacation we took the boys to the zoo for the first time. It was a really hot day but we were determined to show the boys a real monkey and giraffe. Evan got super excited to see the giraffe. He smiled and pointed at them a lot while saying "G! G! G!" Gavin was very chill, as usual, when he saw the monkey's. He stared a lot at them but did crack his Gavin grin. It was so much fun and we plan to take them back on a cooler day, maybe this fall.

Vacation!

We had a great time during our vacation at the shore. We went to the beach, went in the neighbor's pool, rode bikes, went to the zoo, and had lots of family time. We also celebrated the boys 2nd birthday with the family at the shore. It was a great week!

1st X-rays

Father's Day weekend Evan had a miss-hap on a slide at the park, so we spent 1/2 of Brian's Father's Day at the Urgent Care. Evan did fairly well but did cry during the x-rays. Thankfully I was in the room with him but I'm not sure that helped the crying or not. It turned out to just be a sprained foot. He refused to even crawl for two days but by Wed afternoon of that week he did start to walk. We had to ice it every so often and Gavin loved to help...he missed his buddy and wanted him to get better so he could play.

Evan, our TV bug

Evan has become pretty into the TV lately. He will stop and watch almost anything that is on. We now only allow TV at certain times of the day and the rest of the day is music!

Father's Day

At day care the boys made these bird houses for Brian as a Father's Day gift. He was so excited to receive a gift that was made specifically for him. The boys were adorable as they walked into the house with them to give to DaDa.

Gavin, my helper

Gavin is my little helper. He loves projects. If I ask him to put all the markers in the box he will put every single one away. If I ask him to grab our shoes he will grab shoes for everyone. If I ask him to help clean up the toys he will put them all away in the proper location. One day I was in the bathroom and when I walked out I found him helping with the laundry. I said "awe! Thanks Gavin!" He said "help, help" with his serious Gavin face.

Last day of school

The 1st week of June was the boys last day at toddler circle for the summer. They did so well singing their ABC's on the stage at the closing ceremony. We were so proud of them. It's amazing to watch them grow and learn. I noticed such a difference in them each week since we started in January. Next year we will do the same class but this time they will be the oldest in the class. I'm sure they will show the other kids the ropes. After the ceremony we went to Champps with MeMe and G pop for lunch. They just seemed so much older to me at that lunch. They were such big boys! They absolutely loved their ice cream treat!
