Check-up

All went well at the specialist today. The boys are doing great! Evan is 1 lb 6 oz and Gavin is 1 lb 9 oz. Wow! They are getting so big. The Dr. said there are no signs of any problems right now and that all is looking good. As always it was amazing to see them. Brian wasn't able to make it to the appt, due to work, so Mom came with me. She was so excited to see them and giggled every time they moved. I love getting to see them every two weeks. They have grown so much and I love geting to see that. Brian and I are so super excited for our boys to arrive in 13 weeks or less.

Jadie's play date

On Sunday afternoon Dad called to see if Jadie would like to come over and play with Gracie. Of course! Dad & Gracie came to pick her up and she was sooo excited. She ran to the front door and practically dragged me to Dad's car. A couple hours later she came home and was pooped the rest of the night. Mom said they ran and played out back the entire time, only resting once for about 4 minutes. Jadie had such a blast!

Surprise visit from Rob

This morning the phone rang and it was Rob. We were still laying in bed. When I answered he said to come down stairs. He drove all the way here to give us home made peanut butter eggs that he made. There was 4....a C, B, E, and G. It was adorable of him to do that. He was only able to stay about 1/2 hour or so. We showed him the nursery and explained how the furniture would be laid out. He was very excited to see it in person. Jadie was running around and jumping because she thought Rob was there for her. It was very sweet of Rob to stop by this morning for an impromptu Easter visit.

Easter at Mom & Dad's

Yesterday we went to Mom & Dad's for Easter. We had a ball! Livi & Char decorated a bunny cake with the help of Gram & Grandmom. After that we had an egg hunt for the girls followed by a jelly bean hunt for the "adult kids." Mom & Dad hid 28 jelly beans and they were color-coded according to how much money they were. As usual we ran around the house and bumping into each other to try to get the highest earning beans. We missed Jeanna this year at the hunt...she is in CO for her sister's Bridal Shower. After the competitive hunt we sat down for an amazing Easter dinner followed by yummy desserts. We sat at the dining room table for a long time after chatting and laughing. Mom & Dad had an Easter basket for Evan and Gavin and as soon as I saw it I cried. Reason being is that it was my Grandfather's basket when he was a kid, then my Mom's, then mine, and now our boys. That basket has been around for a long, long time but it's still holding up. It's strange that I cried because I knew my Mom would give it to us but when I saw it, it really affected me. It was a gift from Grandfather for our boys. (As I type right now I'm crying again.) I know that he is looking down on us today and smiling. Thank you Grandfather! It was a beautiful Easter celebration!

Birthing Class

Mon & Wed of this week we had birthing class. I registered us for the class back in Feb, but of course with my luck it happened to be the same nights that the Flyers had play-off games. Brian set the DVR each night and turned off his cell phone so that he wouldn't get any text messages from friends. He was able to watch the games after class without knowing what happened. As for the class...Monday we learned about natural birth and Wed we learned about pain management, C-sections, and how your body changes after birth. It was a good class. Wed was more useful to use though as we will most likely be c-section. We watched video's of both kinds of births and both times I teared up when the baby was born. Who knows if we will remember anything from class but it did help answer some of our questions thus far.

Weekend of laughs

Friday we went down the shore with the family. That night we had a BBQ dinner for Mom's bday. It was great food with lots of laughter. Sat we did our usual Coffee Talk thing and then hung at the house relaxing. Sat night Mom & Dad treated the 6 of us to comedy show and a night stay in AC. We had a ball! We went to dinner first and then laughed at the show. Sunday morning we all ordered room service and then headed back to Stone Harbor. Jadie had fun at her sleep over with Meme, Gpop, Livi, Charlotte, Gracie, Pacie, and Corriah. It was a fun-filled weekend.

Echo screens on the boys hearts

Yesterday we had an appointment at the high risk Dr. to have echo screens on the boys hearts. The were able to monitor all the major blood vessels, chambers of the heart, and other major organs. The Dr. said all looks great and that they have strong hearts. It was such a relief to hear that. Evan wasn't as co-operative as he usually is...he was all curled up in a ball and didn't want to move too much. Gavin was the co-operative one this time and made the tech's job very easy. Brian and I love seeing our boys. We are so lucky that we get to see them every 2 weeks!

Nursery is complete

This weekend Brian finished the nursery. He finished painting and installed closet organizers to give us more storage. Steve came over today and ran the electric up to the ceiling so we could put the ceiling light up. All we need now is the furniture.....and the boys. :) We LOVE the way it has come out and are super excited.

Anniversary weekend

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary in AC last night. Mom & Dad watched Jadie and we headed down in the afternoon. We had a wonderful Italian dinner and then headed to the Rodeo. I know, doesn't sound like something we'd do but it was something different. Surprisingly we had a great time. We had great seats and watched in amazement as we saw the different contests. After we headed back to the hotel and had an opportunity to see Randy Travis in concert. We didn't know too many of his songs but it was fun none-the-less to watch him. We strolled through the casino before heading back up to the room. We slept in this morning and headed back home in the early afternoon. It was a great night with my hubby.
